POSTCARDS FROM THE EDGE is one of Visual AIDS' biggest and most fun fundraisers of the year - with over 1400 artworks to choose from.

Visual AIDS first held Postcards from the Edge in 1998 and has raised more than $710,000 since the event’s conception, and over the years 18,513 postcard-sized works have been donated by artists from Louise Bourgeois to Louise Fishman or John Waters to John Baldessari...

The Preview Party on Friday, January 24th will be packed with artists, collectors and characters galore - all there for the only opportunity to see the entire exhibition. There are no sales that night, but this year's raffle prizes include the chance to win 1.) the first pick of any postcard that night, 2.) VIP access to the benefit on Saturday morning and 3.) the opportunity to ask "any question" about one card! Raffle tickets are available at the event. Two raffle tickets are included with $50 admission, and additional raffle tickets are $10 each. The raffle will be called at 7:30 pm. You must be there to win. There is one prize per winner.

The VIP Preview on Friday, January 24, begins at 5pm for those who purchase the $50 admission (payable at the door or online here). The VIP Preview allows you into the gallery one hour before the crowds arrives, so you can get an extra close look at all the amazing artwork. The Artist Preview begins at 6pm (one hour after VIP Preview). Participating artists can attend for free, additional guests are $50 each.

People line up early for the benefit sale on Saturday, January 25th for their chance at over 1400 postcard-sized artworks. Where else can you possibly get a Marilyn Minter, Ed Rusha or Julie Mehretu for the price of a round of cocktails? All the artwork is displayed anonymously, with the artist's name only revealed after purchase, so whether you walk away with a John Baldessari, Kiki Smith, Marcel Dzama, or one of a thousand others, everyone finds something they love at Postcards from the Edge. If you don't like crowds, come back on Sunday, January 26th and you'll still find a lot of treasures and surprises on the wall. All works only $85 each.
